Halloween Party and Pumpkin Patch 2026
Many thanks to new Event Chair Lindsy Gwozdz for planning and running our Colonial Hills Civic Association neighborhood Halloween Party!
Lindsy provisioned the candy, games, crafts and prizes for this joyous event, held on a perfect Fall sunny and 70-degree afternoon at Selby Park, which was attended by an estimated 150-200 young costumed characters with another estimated 200-400 of their adults. And our new boombox (purchased for the 4th of July for around $100) played a continuous stream of Halloween music to heighten the celebratory vibe.
The CHCA also wishes to thank our volunteers, many of whom signed up via the SignUpGenius prepared and publicized on Facebook by our VP/Events Alan Miroslaw.
And we greatly appreciated the charitable donation of their time to our event by two 501st Legion members (recruited to our event by Ron Sears) — Darth Vader and Red Guard delighted both young and old!
Finally, we give a HUGE thank you to Cynthia MacKenzie and CYMACK Real Estate for so generously providing the 150 pumpkins for the Great Pumpkin Patch, plus the Trick or Treat bags, t-shirts, and decorative straw bales with mums for photo ops!
